ANYWAY / THE DETAILS
Privacy policy
How Anyway handles your website visit and beta invitation request.
Last updated: October 24, 2026 · Effective 2026-10-24
1. Operator and scope
Jean-David Morgenstern-Peirolo operates Anyway and doanyway.com. For support, privacy questions, withdrawal of a beta request, or deletion, email support@doanyway.com.
This policy covers this website and its beta invitation list. It does not describe data collection inside a future mobile app. We will provide the applicable app privacy information before collecting information through the app.
2. What we collect
When you request a beta invitation, we collect your email address, selected platform (iPhone or Android), page language, request timestamps, and the version and time of your affirmative consent. Your platform comes from the store badge you select. We use these details to maintain the list and communicate about your requested beta access. This is not a marketing-newsletter signup.
Our server also stores short-lived, hashed network identifiers and request counts to limit abusive submissions. It does not store your raw IP address in the invitation record or application-written logs. Google may process network and technical information, including IP addresses, browser information, request details, and operational logs, to deliver, secure, and operate the hosting and backend services.
Your color-theme and analytics preferences are saved in local storage on your browser. The interactive run preview uses temporary browser state, resets when you reload, and does not send its selections as habit or health information. There is no app account, payment form, or health questionnaire on this website.
3. Purposes and choices
We use the invitation information on the basis of your consent to manage your request, acknowledge it, and email an invitation or relevant access update when one is available. An invitation is subject to availability. We do not add you to unrelated campaigns or sell your information.
We process limited network and operational information to provide the website and prevent abuse, including on the basis of our legitimate interests where that legal basis applies. We may also retain or disclose limited information when required by applicable law.
You can withdraw your invitation request and request deletion at any time by contacting support@doanyway.com. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Do not include medical records, passwords, or other unnecessary sensitive information in a message to us.
4. Service providers and international processing
We use Google Firebase Hosting, Cloud Functions, and a private Firestore database to operate the website and invitation service. The signup backend and database are configured in europe-west1, Belgium. The invitation list is not publicly readable or writable; validated requests are saved by our server. Provider support, security, and operational processing may occur in other countries.
When we send beta-related email, we use Resend with support@doanyway.com as the sender and reply address. Resend processes the recipient address, message content, and delivery information to provide email delivery. A requested access email is separate from advertising. We do not add tracking pixels or marketing click tracking to our authored email content.
If you contact support, our email and forwarding providers also process your correspondence to deliver it and allow us to respond. These providers may process information outside your country. Providers process information under their applicable service and data-processing terms. We do not disclose the invitation list to other visitors.
Store badges currently open our invitation dialog. When external store links become available and you follow one, Apple or Google will process your visit under its own privacy terms.
5. How long we keep information
Invitation records are retained for up to 365 days after your most recent request, unless you withdraw sooner or a specific legal obligation requires a limited record to be retained. A daily cleanup removes expired invitation records. Hashed rate-limit records expire after 48 hours and are removed by the same daily process.
Where an acknowledgement is sent, its delivery status and provider message identifier are kept with the invitation record for duplicate prevention and support. Resend, Google, and email/forwarding providers keep their own operational records and backup copies under their applicable terms and settings; deletion from the active invitation list does not immediately erase all provider records or your own email copies.
Support correspondence is kept as needed to address the request and any applicable legal obligation. Browser preferences remain until changed or cleared. We may need proportionate identity verification before fulfilling a request about personal information.
6. Website analytics
Optional Google Analytics for Firebase is currently disabled. No analytics SDK or analytics cookies are loaded by this website in its current configuration. The footer lets you store or change a preference, but granting that preference does not activate collection while analytics remains disabled.
Before analytics is enabled, this policy will explain the actual collection and retention. The implementation requires affirmative permission on the production domain, honors Global Privacy Control, and is designed to exclude habit plans, health answers, email addresses, and interactive-preview selections.
7. Your rights and security
Depending on your location and the processing involved, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to the competent privacy authority. Contact support@doanyway.com to make a request.
We use HTTPS and access controls for the service. Public clients cannot access the private invitation list directly. No system provides absolute security. Do not submit someone else’s personal information without permission.
The website is aimed at adults interested in everyday health habits, rather than children. If you believe a child has provided information that should not be retained, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate. The future app will have its own eligibility information.
8. Changes and contact
We will update the effective date when this policy changes and provide appropriate notice for material changes. New uses that require consent will not rely on consent to an unrelated purpose. You can contact Jean-David Morgenstern-Peirolo at support@doanyway.com.
